We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and smooth operation of the company. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead financial processes, drive automation, and contribute significantly to our growth in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and annual consolidated financial statements and cash flows in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Develop and prepare comprehensive KPI reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial information and trends from BI systems.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial accounting operations, including cash management, accounts receivable (billing, collections), accounts payable, and general ledger activities.
  • Lead initiatives to build robust financial processes, improve automation, and drive the implementation and optimization of company information systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls to ensure compliance with legislation and establish best practices.
  • Partner with and provide strategic financial support to other functional departments across the organization.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with all US local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Work closely with our Bookkeeper on day-to-day financial aspects and collaborate closely with external auditors during financial audits.
  • Assist in the annual budget planning process across all departments.
  • Lead and support various ad-hoc finance projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification with experience gained from one of the "Big 4" accounting firms.
  • Proven experience working in B2B, SaaS, and startup environments.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller (advantage).
  • Experience in an e-commerce-based company (advantage).
  • Strong analytical and interpretation skills for complex business agreements, financial reports, and regulatory documents.
  • Managerial experience (advantage).
  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of partnering effectively across functions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proactive, highly detail-oriented, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess a hands-on approach.
  • Proficiency with enterprise accounting systems (e.g., Priority ERP,  STRIPE). Experience with HubSpot CRM is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
